For the last 14 years, I’ve been known as Chrysalis, Melinca, and Miss Mel on various places on the internet. Chrysalis became highly popular later and to distinguish myself from all those other Chrysalis’, I began to use Melinca more and more. Melinca and Miss Mel are pretty much hand in hand, as I am a Miss and Mel is short for Melinca. I’ve been asked on more than one (or twenty) occasions where Melinca came from. My favorite games out of any has been the Legend of Zelda games (and not WoW, so ha!). The main character, is of course, Link. I added an “a” at the end to make it sound more feminine to get Linka. The game I was playing at the time already had a Linka on it, so I put a “Me” in front, so Me is Linka.. and Melinka was born. I didn’t like the “k” there, made it look to harsh, so I changed it to a “c”, and there we have Melinca. Bet you would have never guessed.
